All About CA Intermediate

The second level of the Chartered Accountancy examinations is referred to as CA Intermediate or CA Inter. As the CA foundation results were released a few days ago, today we will take you through the entire CA Intermediate course. Students will begin signing up for it, and a large number of them will be entering via a direct method. Two groups, each consisting of four subjects, make up the CA intermediate course.

After passing CA Foundation, a student may sign up for CA Intermediate using the direct path. Students learn in depth about the many areas of finance and accounting throughout the Intermediate part of the CA course. Exams for the CA Intermediate are given twice a year, in May and Nov.

Throughout CA Foundation Course : Candidates who passed the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’s CA Foundation Examination with a minimum 50% score may enroll in the CA Foundation Course.

Throughout Direct Entry Route : The following candidates may register for the CA Intermediate course immediately using the direct entry route:

 A graduate or post-graduate in commerce (with a minimum grade point average of 55%) or another field (with a minimum grade point average of 60%)

a candidate who has successfully passed the Intermediate level test offered by the Indian Institute of Company Secretaries or the Indian Institute of Cost Accountants.

• Visit the official website, To log in, open the ICAI Self-Service Portal and enter your email address and password.
• After authentication, go to the Student SSP portal.
• Select the CA Foundation or Direct Entry process to enrol for Intermediate.
• Update the information you have.
• After entering the required data, click “save and next.”
• The OTP will be sent to you. You may now successfully log in. Log in right now and fill out the rest of the form.
• Additionally, the registration fees must be made online.
• Use an online payment mechanism to pay the required costs.

These documents are necessary for intermediate registration with CA:

• Students enrolled in the foundation route must produce an attested copy of their class 12 academic transcript or a comparable statement of their exam pass grade that has been approved by the Central Government.
• An authenticated copy of the mark sheet from the degree or post-graduation as well as the mark sheet from the intermediate level ICSI (Institute of Company Secretaries of India) or ICMAI examination (Institute of Cost Accountants of India) must be submitted by students adopting the direct entry method.
• Additionally, the registration fees must be made online.
• Use an online payment mechanism to pay the required costs.

After completing the procedures above, students will receive their ICAI CA Inter study materials in a month.

Duration of CA Intermediate Registration Validity

The CA Intermediate registration is good for four years. It may be renewed as many times as required for an additional four years by paying a revalidation fee of Rs. 400 or as otherwise decided by the Council from time to time.

CA Intermediate Course Fees 

The total cost of the CA Intermediate Course is Rs. 20,700 for both groups and Rs. 14,500 for just one group. For international students, the price is $1500 for both groups and $925 for just one.

Students who choose the direct entrance path must pay Rs. 200 for a prospectus in addition to the costs mentioned above. Moreover, international students

must pay registration fees of $600 per group and $1000 for both groups, respectively.

• Select the Intermediate Examination results link.
• Submit your 6-digit roll number, PIN, and registration number.
• The scorecard for the CA Intermediate exam will show up on the screen.
• Download, then verify.

Admission Card for an Intermediate CAThe ICAI typically releases admit cards 14 days prior to the exams. The official website has the CA Inter May 2023 admit card for download. In offline mode, admit cards won’t be sent out. The only option is to download the admission cards from the ICAI website.

The following information can be found on the CA Intermediate Admit Card:

• The candidate’s name
• Photograph and signature of the candidate
• Name of the Exam Center 
• Examination Method
• Address of the Candidate
• Guidelines for candidates for exams.
